Twitter mal anders erklärt… Podiumsgespräch: mundtot. sprachlos. auftreten gegen den frauenhandel
Oct 25

Inspired by Nancy White who wrote about it on her blog I’ve been messing around with Flock the last few days. Flock is a “social” web browser, based on Mozilla firefox.

The custom homepage “My world” (of course you can set your own homepage to sth else…) now tells me when “friends” (read: people I never met in my life but who have similar interests) upload new pictures to Flickr or post sth. on Youtube and also includes the blogs I follow regularly. I felt a bit overwhelmed by all this information at one glance at first, and it also reminded me of something I’ve seen before but don’t remember by name…it was not integrated in a browser anyway, but a service that shows you all the social webservices that you’ve adopted into your day to day life at a glance when you log into them. What I really like is that the shortcuts  - at least the ones I frequently use - are the same as in Firefox. That makes the swapping between these two browsers really easy. The web clip board where you can drag and drop photos and then put them in blog posts or emails from there comes in really handy too…and before I forget it: there’s a blog editor included in Flock as well…and that’s actually the reason why I’m writing this post. To see if it actually works!
By the way: here’s Flock’s logo…on the beach and on a teeny-weeny-t-shirt:
